Genco were appointed as Principal Contractor to transform a former Co-op store on North Road, Camden, into a fully refurbished Tesco Express. Valued at £296,000, the project involved a comprehensive fit-out across the sales floor, back-of-house areas and external façade.
The works included a full strip-out and refurbishment of back-of-house areas and cold rooms, alongside new colleague facilities, flooring, shelving and wall finishes. Fire and intruder alarms, CCTV and drainage systems were upgraded, while the sales floor benefited from new refrigeration, tills, refurbished shelving, lighting, signage and full redecoration.
Externally, the façade was refreshed with upgraded signage and lighting, alongside improvements to the store frontage. Pest control works and a final sparkle clean completed the transformation.
Delivered on time and within budget, the project created a modern, fully refurbished Tesco Express ready to serve the local community.
