Genco were appointed as Principal Contractor to deliver a programme of life safety and fire protection works at Tesco Harrow Kenton Lane Express. Valued at £39,493.69, the project was delivered over a two-week programme comprising 14 shifts.
The works included fire-stopping to service penetrations and head-of-wall junctions within key areas of the store and staircase escape route. Existing non-compliant foam was removed and replaced with a tested fire-stopping system, alongside the installation of a new FD60 fire door set and remedial works to five existing fire doors.
The programme also included the installation, testing and commissioning of the fire alarm system, including witness testing. Works were carefully managed within the store environment, with working arrangements adapted where necessary to minimise disruption to neighbouring occupants.
